More than just a toothbrush:
Did you know that it takes more than 500 years for a regular plastic toothbrush to decompose? Imagine, the first toothbrush you used as a kid is still out there somewhere. Plastic toothbrushes are also one of the most common plastic items that land in our oceans. Time to make the switch!

The bamboo used for the toothbrush is 100% biodegradable and one of the world’s most fastest growing and most sustainable crops. The bristles are pressed (not glued) into the toothbrush, so once you’re done using it, you can simply pull them out with a pair of pliers. They are fully recyclable (just through them in the yellow bin) as they are made of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). The bristles are vegan and BPA-free.

By the way, you’re not taking away panda’s food by switching to bamboo toothbrushes. They are made from Moso bamboo, which is not on the panda’s menu :)

How to treat your bamboo toothbrushes:
It is advised to change your toothbrush every 3 months. Once you’re done using it, simply pluck out the bristles with a pair of pliers and recycle them in the yellow bin. Although bamboo is antibacterial, make sure not to leave the toothbrush in a wet area (lying down next to the sink where water can reside) or in a damp toilet bag to prevent mold from growing.
